Bell provided mechanical construction on this hospital expansion/renovation project. The mechanical scope included HVAC ductwork and piping systems, plumbing and medical gas systems. This project encompasses three primary structures:
- A 495,000 square-foot Ambulatory Care Center with a patient access center, outpatient care centers, outpatient surgery center and a new clinical laboratory.
- A 57,000 square-foot education/conference center consisting of a medical library, a 150-seat conference center, lecture halls, classrooms and group study spaces. This center will link the hospital to the University of Vermont.
- A 57,000 square-foot addition to the central utility plant included a new 700 HP steam boiler and (3) new 1800 ton chillers. Services were distributed through a new a 700-foot underground utility tunnel.
