John P. Bell & Sons, LLC

John P. Bell & Sons, LLC provides mechanical and plumbing construction services for private and public clients in the New England region.  Like our subsidiaries in other locales, John P. Bell & Sons has established itself as a specialist in the Healthcare, Laboratory/Research and Higher Education markets in this region. With decades of successful projects in New England, John P. Bell & Sons has completed work for some of the signature health care facilities in the region, including Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont, and Maine Medical.  We have a long and successful history with Dartmouth-Hitchcock and have completed numerous projects with them including an Ambulatory Care Facility, Diagnostic and Treatment Facility, Norris Cotton Cancer Center, Emergency Department and Central Plant. In the higher education market, Bell completed the mechanical/plumbing installations at the new UNH Paul College School of Business and Economics and the LEED Gold certified Langdon Woods Campus Residence Hall for Plymouth State University.
From our offices in Baltimore, MD and Richmond, VA, we have established ourselves as a top construction services provider in the Healthcare, Laboratory/Research and Data Center markets in the region.   Our projects have been the recipients of the ABC Award of Excellence in Mechanical Construction.

From our first project in the area we've expanded our portfolio of projects to include two of the largest chiller plants in the nation; the Pentagon Heating and Refrigeration Plant, and Building 11 for the National Institutes of Health.  We've also successfully completed a number of projects in healthcare facilities, including Mercy Hospital, Meritus Health Center, Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Holy Cross Hospital, Sentara Princess Anne Hospital and Johnston Memorial Hospital, and the addition and renovation of the Langley AFB Hospital.

Our Laboratory/Research experience includes the unique and very demanding mechanical/plumbing construction of Biosafety Level (BSL) 2, 3, 3 enhanced and 4 labs.  These highly regulated and technically complex facilities are relatively rare in the industry, and Bell is one of few companies that possesses the skills and experience to successfully tackle the intense scientific and regulatory challenges that arise in their construction.  Bell has constructed these systems for such clients as the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense and The Altria Group / Phillip Morris.
