Meritus Medical Center

Bell performed all mechanical installation for the new 550,000 square foot Meritus Medical Center, an acute care hospital located in Hagerstown, Maryland. Services include a special care nursery, level III trauma program, primary stroke center, wound center and a cardiac diagnostic laboratory.

Mechanical installa­tion included plumbing, medical gas systems, mechanical piping, HVAC ductwork and all associated mechanical equipment for a functioning hospital.

The new facility includes a Central Utility Plant consisting of:

• 400 HP Steam Boilers
• Clean Steam Generators
• Steam Fired Domestic Water Heaters
• 1000 ton Chillers
• 1000 ton Cooling Towers
• Custom Air Handling Units (totaling 430,000 cfm)
